Meet Chef Dee: A Culinary Journey of Passion and Innovation

It all started way back in 2012 when I created small bite hors d'oeuvres for intimate gatherings and special occasions. What began as a simple passion for crafting delightful bites quickly grew into something much bigger. With a focus on flavor, freshness, and attention to detail, those small creations became the foundation of a journey that continues to inspire me every day. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills, discovered new techniques, and embraced the art of bringing people together through food. Today, that same passion drives everything I do—transforming simple ingredients into unforgettable experiences, one bite at a time.

Chef Dee, born and raised in the Philippines, discovered her passion for food at an early age. Her journey took an exciting turn when she moved to California, where she began experimenting with innovative h'ors D'eourves that quickly captured people's attention and left them craving more. Driven by her love for creating unique flavors and memorable dining experiences, Chef Dee later relocated to Florida to pursue her dream of formal culinary training.

After moving here from California in 2021, she decided to pursue her passion for cooking and enrolled in culinary school. This decision ignited a deeper sense of purpose and drive within, pushing to fully utilize her skills and explore true potential. She worked diligently throughout her studies and ultimately graduated with a degree in AS in Culinary Arts, earning high honors and achieving the prestigious recognition of magna cum laude.

My goal is to blend flavors, traditions, and creativity to create dishes that leave a lasting impression. " Before becoming a chef, I worked in the insurance industry where the income was steady, but the work lacked purpose. I knew I wanted to build something meaningful—something driven by passion rather than routine.

 

Taking a risk that many advised against, I entered the culinary industry from the ground up, starting as a dishwasher at Café Destin. Through dedication, consistency, and a strong commitment to growth, I worked my way through the kitchen over the past five years, eventually stepping into a management role.

 

Along the way, I earned a degree in Culinary Arts, further refining my technical skills while developing my own creative voice in the kitchen. My journey reflects my belief in discipline, resilience, and choosing fulfillment over comfort—values that guide how I cook, lead, and serve every guest who experiences my food."
